• What do you charge ?

Prices start at £12 per shot for internet quality images. There is a minimum charge of £60, plus any return delivery charges.
Images with transparent backgrounds are supplied for an additional charge.
When required for printing applications an image including a colour checker card or 18% reflective gray card can be supplied as the cost of one shot.
A variety of digital effects can be supplied such as product colour change.
MPEG4 slide shows can be supplied.

• Can you supply a quotation ?

Please call to discuss your requirements first. 0141 570 1368. Quotations are valid for 30 days.

• How can we pay?

Payment is made upon invoice to limited companies, public bodies, educational establishments or registered charities .
Others are required to pay after they have viewed the proof images and have placed an order.

• Is there any kind of product you will not photograph in the studio?

Please read the following list: of products that we will not photograph: any tobacco products, any product containing highly inflammable liquids or gasses, gas cylinders, dangerous chemicals, radioactive materials, guns, knifes, grand pianos, and cars.
If your products are not accompanied by one of your employees there is a weight limit of 25 kilograms (in the studio).

• In what format will you supply images ?

Digital product images are supplied as requested (JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF or Multi-layer PSD) in sRGB colour space.
TIFF and PSD files are only supplied on disc.
Please note: All product images are produced digitally so we do not supply film negatives or transparencies.

• Do we receive digital proofs ?

  Proofs can be supplied on disc by post or on password protected areas of a this web site.

• Can we have print proofs?

  You can have print proofs at the same prices as that charged to portrait customers.

• How do we approve images?

  By e-mail from the persons authorised to do so and named on the briefing sheet. Please specify the number and the pixel dimensions.

• Are the final images downloadable ?

Your product images will be available for up to 2 months on a password protected area of this web site

• Can I buy the copyright to an image?

Product images supplied to you are provided with a royalty free licence of the kind used by stock photo libraries. You can not sell them to third parties. Unless you purchase the copyright it will remain with Scotimages Ltd. and cannot be claimed by any third party such as a publisher.

• What is your turn around time ?

On average 1 week from delivery to production of digital proofs sometimes faster.

• How do we send products to you for photography ?

  You must discuss your requirements in advance before products even if you have used our services before.
  Please send the products with at least the same quality of packaging as you would send to any customer or client.
  Always include your company name and address on the exterior of the packaging.
  You must fully insure the product.

Please enclose a detailed briefing sheet in English or French, your Internet address if appropriate,
and all relevant details for the contact person authorised to make decisions on artistic matters.

• Will you do on site photography ?

Yes. There is an additional charge and mileage costs.
As portable studio flash will be often used we do not photography in the presence of combustible gases of flammable solvents.

• Will you do on site-photography during unsociable hours ?

Products may be photographed on Saturdays or Sunday's and up till 10.30 pm on weekdays.

• How will products be returned?

  We will return products to the dispatch address only in the packaging that you have used to send it.
  If you prefer you may arrange uplift with your own courier service.

• Are you happy to work with 3rd parties?

  We will work with anyone you judge to be competent and is authorised to act for you in matters of design and presentation.

• Can you provide a confidential service?

  The directors of Scotimages Ltd. will sign any standard confidentiality agreement before seeing your products provided it is consistent with Scots law.

• Can you provide a link to our web site?

An image and associated link can be provided to your web site on request at no extra charge, except in cases where a confidentiality agreement is in place.
